The exhibition "Shaanxi Fine Art Works, Shared Beauty: Artworks by Members of the China Democratic League (CDL) from Shaanxi province" — part of the exhibition series of artworks by CDL artists — opened at the CDL Central Committee headquarters in Beijing on Sept 29.

Ding Zhongli, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the CDL Central Committee, and Wang Guangqian, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice-chairman of the CDL Central Committee, attended the opening event.

Nearly 80 works on display were creative achievements by CDL artists from Shaanxi province, who had traveled throughout the province, deeply engaged with rural life and refined their works repeatedly. These works covered various forms, including painting, calligraphy, photography, and sculpture.

In his address, Wang commended the exhibition and encouraged CDL artists to take on the new cultural mission, uphold fundamental principles and break new ground, and promote the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture‌, so as to make a greater contribution to developing the modern civilization of the Chinese nation with more high-quality masterpieces.

Based on the humanistic connotation of "Shared Beauty, Universal Harmony," the exhibition series of artworks closely followed the pulse of the times, celebrated the extraordinary achievements of the new era, and carried forward the CDL's fine tradition of patriotism and serving the people.
