The Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party (CPWDP) held a symposium on high-quality population development in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, from June 12 to 13. Yang Zhen, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice-chairman of the CPWDP Central Committee, attended the meeting and delivered an address.

Yang emphasized the need to gain a deep understanding of the strategic relationship between artificial intelligence and high-quality population development, to correctly understand the new demographic situation facing China's modernization drive and to accurately grasp the key tasks for supporting Chinese modernization with high-quality population development.

He called on CPWDP members to use their unique strengths to offer policy recommendations, so as to contribute to the building of a modern socialist country in all respects.

During the symposium, experts, members of relevant special committees of the CPWDP Central Committee and representatives of local CPWDP organizations engaged in in-depth discussions on AI and high-quality population development. They also held on-site seminars at an intelligent health and medical innovation laboratory and an industrial park for the digital silver economy.
