Mu Hong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met with Ueli Maurer, former president of the Swiss Confederation, in Beijing on June 3.

Mu briefed Maurer on China's economic and social development. The two sides exchanged views on promoting the advancement of China-Switzerland and China-EU relations.
