A team of members from the Committee on Education, Science, Health and Sports of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) conducted a health outreach event from April 27 to 30 in the cities of Nanning and Chongzuo in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

With free expert consultations, thematic lectures, and specialty capacity enhancement for local hospitals, the event was part of the committee's pragmatic measures to innovate and build distinctive platforms for its members to perform their duties and serve the people. It also stood as a vivid example of cultivating and practicing a correct understanding of performance.

During the event, Peking University People's Hospital and Peking University Hospital of Stomatology signed agreements with the People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to help enhance its medical specialties. The China Charity Federation and Lifeline Express donated essential medical supplies to local health institutions.

The CPPCC National Committee members held four free expert consultation sessions at the People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the People's Hospital of Long'an County in Nanning, the People's Hospital of Chongzuo, and Chongzuo Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital, delivering quality medical services to over 200 patients. They gave three thematic lectures to share cutting-edge knowledge in various disciplines and promote health education, reaching over 400 grassroots medical workers.

The committee members also surveyed several local hospitals, delivering comprehensive support encompassing medical services, pharmaceuticals, theoretical guidance, technical expertise, and management know-how.

Participants in the event included Chen Baosheng, chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Health and Sports, Tang Liangzhi and Cao Jun, vice-chairpersons of the committee; and 10 CPPCC National Committee members.

Medical experts Wang Daming, Yang Fan and Yang Jinsheng also took part.

Sun Dawei and Ou Yujun, chairman and vice-chairman of the CPPCC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee, also participated in related activities.
