The mobilization and deployment meeting for the third round of special inspections by the Leading Party Members Group of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held on April 13.

Shi Taifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and head of the Inspection Work Leading Group of the Leading Party Members Group of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Shi said that it is necessary to comprehensively implement the Party's principles for inspection work to ensure the implementation of the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee.

He noted that it is essential to conscientiously implement the decisions made at the National Conference on Inspection Work, focus on the central tasks and the overall development agenda of the country, and establish and practice a correct view of governance performance in inspection work. Inspection teams should closely examine how the Party organizations under inspection adhere to and strengthen the Party's overall leadership, perform their functions, advance Party building and implement the main responsibility for full and rigorous Party self-governance, he said.

By addressing prominent issues, inspection work will promote the resolution of prominent problems and provide strong guarantees for better serving and advancing the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) and Chinese modernization through high-quality consultation and high-level suggestions, Shi said.

Hu Chunhua, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and deputy head of the Inspection Work Leading Group, announced the decisions on the appointment of team leaders and the division of tasks for the third round of special inspections. Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the CPPCC National Committee and deputy head of the Inspection Work Leading Group, presided over the meeting.

The third round of special inspections, which was approved by the Leading Party Members Group of the CPPCC National Committee, will target the leading Party members sub-groups of the Committee on Population, Resources and Environment, the Committee on Ethnic and Religious Affairs, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Committee on Culture, Historical Data and Studies.
