Senior CPPCC members and staffers engage in voluntary tree-planting activity

On April 9, vice-chairpersons of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Hu Chunhua, Shen Yueyue, Bater, Su Hui, Shao Hong, Gao Yunlong and Wang Dongfeng, together with staff members of the CPPCC National Committee, participated in a voluntary tree-planting activity at the Qinglonghu Forest Park in Beijing's Fangshan district.

They shoveled soil, built earth barriers, and irrigated the newly planted trees and shrubs, including white-bark pine, purpleblow maple, goldenrain tree, fringe tree, catalpa, flowering plum and lilac, adding vitality to the early spring in Beijing.

The CPPCC National Committee attaches great importance to practicing the concept of green development, and continuously contributes to the building of a Beautiful China. The CPPCC National Committee has been organizing voluntary tree-planting activities every spring, contributing to the capital's ecological development.
