The China Zhi Gong Party Central Committee held a meeting on April 1 to advance its assistance for rural vitalization in Bijie, Southwest China's Guizhou province. The meeting also served as a launch event for the party's initiative to enhance its social services and improve the performance of duties.

Jiang Zuojun, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party, attended and addressed the gathering.

Jiang pointed out that it is necessary to further implement the requirements for regular assistance work, clearly understand the relationship between long-term and phased nature of the assistance program, and systematically support the all-round development of various undertakings in Bijie. Efforts should be closely aligned with the arrangements of the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), integrating the development of new quality productive forces into the entire assistance process and actively exploring innovative measures to support development of Bijie, he said.

Jiang emphasized that healthy communities are the foundation of the Healthy China Initiative. Taking this meeting as an opportunity, the education campaign of participating in governance for the public good and working diligently for the people should be further carried out to expand social services in Bijie, he added.

The meeting also featured speeches and signing of donation and assistance agreements. Prior to the meeting, Jiang led a team to conduct surveys on assistance for rural vitalization and healthy community construction.
