Jiu San Society Central Committee holds plenary session in Beijing

The fourth plenary session of the 15th Jiu San Society Central Committee was held in Beijing on Jan 18. The meeting focused on studying and implementing the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, reviewed the work reports of the Standing Committee and the Internal Supervision Committee of the 15th Jiu San Society Central Committee and deliberated on relevant personnel matters. Wu Weihua, chairman of the Jiu San Society Central Committee, delivered the work report on behalf of its standing committee. Shao Hong, executive vice-chairman of the Jiu San Society Central Committee, presided over the opening meeting.

Wu noted that in 2025, the 80th founding anniversary of the Jiu San Society, while implementing the work plans made at the 12th National Congress of the Jiu San Society and the third plenary session of the 15th Jiu San Society Central Committee, the organization made concerted efforts to enhance high-quality duty performance and self-improvement and made targeted suggestions in line with the country's overall development agenda, so as to make new contributions to advancing the building of a great modern socialist country and achieving national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization.

Wu stated that in 2026, the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period, the Jiu San Society will vigorously carry forward the fine traditions of patriotism, democracy, and science. It will focus its efforts on the goals and tasks for economic and social development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, fulfill its duties with dedication, and contribute wisdom and strength to securing decisive progress toward basically achieving socialist modernization, Wu added.
