The fourth plenary session of the 16th Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party opened in Beijing on Dec 29.

The meeting studied the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and reviewed the work reports of the Standing Committee and the Internal Supervision Committee of the 16th China Zhi Gong Party Central Committee.

Jiang Zuojun, chairman of the China Zhi Gong Party Central Committee, delivered the 2025 work report on behalf of the standing committee.

Noting that the year 2025 marks the final year of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the China Zhi Gong Party, Jiang emphasized the party’s efforts in studying and implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and all plenary sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

According to Jiang, the party launched a special initiative on studying regulations, improving conduct and establishing exemplary models. Jiang added that, inspired by its centenary, the party had made significant strides in fulfilling its duties of participating in the deliberation and administration of State affairs. These efforts were guided by its long-standing traditions of public service and its mission to harness the contributions of overseas Chinese for national progress.

Jiang noted that, in 2026, the party must remain true to its original aspirations, uphold its fine traditions, strengthen self-improvement, and diligently fulfill its duties, so as to ensure a solid start for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30).

Jiang also called for strengthening unity among overseas Chinese, returnees and their families, and students studying abroad, encouraging them to actively contribute to promoting China’s reunification, building a great modern socialist country, and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through modernization.
