ACFIC Executive Committee holds meeting in Changsha

The fourth meeting of the 13th Executive Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) was held on Dec 22 and 23 in Changsha, Central China's Hunan province.

The meeting studied the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Economic Work Conference, reviewed the ACFIC's work in 2025 and made arrangements for key tasks in 2026.

Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the ACFIC, delivered a work report.

The meeting said the federations of industry and commerce at all levels have strengthened political guidance for private entrepreneurs, improved the development environment for the private economy, guided and supported their healthy and high-quality development, and encouraged private enterprises to fulfill social responsibilities and contribute to local economic growth.

The meeting noted that the federations of industry and commerce at all levels actively participated in deliberation and administration of State affairs by offering policy advice, advanced reform of affiliated chambers of commerce and strengthened their own capacity building, with notable results achieved.  

Stressing that 2026 marks the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–30), the meeting called on federations of industry and commerce at all levels to step up training for the younger generation, and leverage exemplary models, so as to pool wisdom and offer policy recommendations for the implementation of the plan.

The meeting approved personnel matters and presented key reports and findings on private enterprise development, social responsibility, and the research and practical achievements of industry and commerce federations in 2025.
