Shen noted that high-quality population development serves as a foundation for promoting Chinese modernization, while building a birth-friendly society is essential for high-quality population development. Putting people first is necessary for building such a social atmosphere, and more investments and resources should be allocated to people to leverage the strategic advantages of population, she added.
Shen stated that multiple measures and services in light of local conditions should be adopted to improve the marriage and childbearing environment, so as to promote the high-quality development of population.
She called for a positive attitude toward marriage and childbearing, with the aim of making the birth-friendly mindset a social consensus.
Shen emphasized forming a comprehensive system with various entities participating, including governments, families and individuals, to promote the building of a birth-friendly society.
