On Nov 13, the General Office of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held a symposium on public communication work.
The meeting focused on studying and implementing the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and summarizing and discussing the CPPCC's experience in public communication.
Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Wang noted that more efforts should be made to fully understand the arrangements made at the plenary session for publicity work, and enhance the CPPCC's sense of responsibility and mission regarding this work in the new era, so as to pool wisdom and strength for the formulation and implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30).
Wang stated that the 14th CPPCC National Committee has given full play to its role as a united front organization and consultative body and has enhanced the effectiveness of its international communication and outreach efforts. The CPPCC National Committee has also upgraded its publicity work mechanisms, and strengthened the building of relevant platforms to improve work quality, he added.
Wang also highlighted that studying and implementing the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session is a major political task, and called for enhancing the CPPCC's publicity capacity through reform and innovation, so as to open up new prospects for this work in the new era.
