Mu Hong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and head of the China-Africa Friendship Group, met in Beijing on Oct 29 with a delegation led by Augustin Kabuya, secretary-general of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDSP), the ruling party of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo).

Mu gave the delegation a rundown on the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He also affirmed the relations between the CPC and the UDSP, and between China and DR Congo.

Mu engaged in exchanges with Kabuya on topics such as following up on the consensus reached between the two countries' leaders and strengthening bilateral cooperation in various areas.
