Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with a group of senior scholars of the Dongfang Scholarship program during their visit to the CPPCC National Committee in Beijing on Oct 28.

Wang gave the scholars a rundown on the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the CPPCC's policy recommendations for the formulation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30). 

Senior visiting scholars from 50 countries attended the event.
