The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held a meeting with cadres from its departments on Oct 29 to study and implement the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the CPPCC National Committee, addressed the gathering.

Wang called on CPPCC members to apply the guiding principles of the key Party plenum when performing their duties and to actively offer suggestions.

He urged them to ensure high-quality work this year and to plan next year's work with a focus on the central tasks of the Party and the State.

He also said that they should contribute advice and strength to the formulation and implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30).
