Mu Hong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led a team from the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the CPPCC National Committee to survey Jiangsu and Henan provinces from Oct 13 to 15. The survey focused on building a first-class international business environment that is market-oriented and law-based.
The team visited a port, enterprises and business service centers in Jiangsu and Henan, where they exchanged opinions with local officials and entrepreneurs to understand their practices and achievements in building such a business environment, and to solicit advice.
The team stated that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, the Central Committee of the CPC has proposed a series of measures to improve the business environment in various industries and regions. The CPPCC should give full play to its role as a specialized consultative body to propose policy recommendations in response to prominent problems in communities and enterprises, and transform survey conclusions into practices, thus contributing its expertise and strength to improving the business environment, according to the team.
