On Oct 18, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) invited 83 students from eight middle schools in Beijing to its open day event featuring exhibitions, a video screening and a symposium. This event aimed to deepen their identification with the leadership of the Communist Party of China and socialism with Chinese characteristics in the political, ideological, theoretical and emotional fields, and their understanding of socialist consultative democracy.
