The 2025 World Manufacturing Convention opened in Hefei, East China's Anhui province, on Sept 20. Wang Yong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.
Wang said that since the inception of the convention in 2018, China and all parties have deepened practical cooperation by fully leveraging the convention as a platform, providing strong support for the development of the global manufacturing industry. Facing the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, China will firmly implement the four global initiatives and is ready to strengthen cooperation with all parties in key areas such as manufacturing, break down barriers to the flow of factors such as technology, talent and data, and promote in-depth integration of industry, academia, research and application, he said. These efforts aim to achieve breakthroughs in key core technologies, materialization of research outcomes and green and low-carbon development for a future of high-quality development, he added.
Themed "Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future," the event drew attendance of over 1,000 guests from more than 40 countries and regions.
