China Zhi Gong Party holds symposium marking 110th birth anniversary of Dong Yinchu

The Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party held a symposium in Beijing on Sept 15 to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the birth of Dong Yinchu, a renowned patriotic overseas Chinese leader and former leader of the China Zhi Gong Party. 

Jiang Zuojun, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chairman of the China Zhi Gong Party Central Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhang Endi, executive vice-chairman of the China Zhi Gong Party Central Committee, presided over the meeting. 

Dong served as vice-chairman of the 8th CPPCC National Committee, chairman of the 9th and 10th central committees of the China Zhi Gong Party and honorary chairman of its 11th central committee. 

Jiang reviewed Dong's life and contributions, noting that he devoted his entire life to the independence, unity and rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Jiang emphasized the importance of learning from Dong's firm belief in the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), his dedication to public service, his commitment to overseas Chinese affairs and his integrity and self-discipline. 

Marking the centenary of the China Zhi Gong Party this year, Jiang urged members to unite more closely around the CPC Central Committee, carry forward the party's fine traditions, build on its century-long experience and make greater contributions to building a strong country and advancing national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization.
