On Sept 16, Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), held talks with Abdelkader Aamara, president of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council of Morocco, in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

Wang, also chairman of the China Economic and Social Council, gave an overview of China's achievements in poverty alleviation as well as the CPPCC system. He emphasized that China stands ready to work with the international community in advancing global poverty alleviation and jointly building a community with a shared future for humanity.
