The 15th China-Northeast Asia Expo opened on Aug 27 in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province. Hu Chunhua, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. 

Hu noted that over the 20 years since its establishment, the expo has upheld openness and inclusiveness, promoted trade and investment cooperation in Northeast Asia and grown into the region's largest and highest-level platform for economic and trade exchanges. 

He emphasized that Northeast Asia, with its diverse economic strengths, is among the most dynamic regions in the world. China, he said, will act on the guiding principles of the central conference on work related to neighboring countries, working with regional partners toward the shared vision of building a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable home. 

Hu called for joint efforts to promote common development, deepen industrial cooperation, advance green growth and enhance cultural exchanges to build a community with a shared future in the region.
