Gao Yunlong addresses 6th Conference on Rule of Law Construction in Private Economy

The 6th Conference on Rule of Law Construction in Private Economy was held in Beijing on July 31. Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the event and delivered a speech. 

Gao emphasized the need to implement the law on promoting the private sector and to invigorate the market and support overall development with high-level rule of law. He called for boosting confidence and stabilizing expectations through policy guidance, and encouraged private entrepreneurs to align thoughts and actions with the judgment on the current development landscape as well as decisions and plans made by the Communist Party of China Central Committee. 

Gao also stressed the importance of strengthening legal safeguards to ensure the effective implementation of policies that support the private economy and to protect the legitimate rights and interests of private enterprises and entrepreneurs. He urged private businesses to establish robust frameworks for law-based governance and to stay firmly committed to modernizing their corporate governance. 

He also encouraged federations of industry and commerce at all levels, along with their affiliated chambers of commerce, to enhance communication and cooperation with legislative, law enforcement, and judicial bodies, as well as legal associations, so as to enhance their service for enterprises.
