The fifth meeting of the 13th All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) Executive Committee was held on July 25 and 26 in Yinchuan, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the ACFIC, and Shen Ying, deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the leading Party members group of the ACFIC, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
At the meeting, the ACFIC's work in the first half of 2025 was reviewed and key tasks were outlined for the second half of the year. It aimed to guide private-sector entrepreneurs in gaining a clear understanding of the current economic landscape, strengthening their confidence and accelerating high-quality development with greater resolve and a more pragmatic approach.
It was noted at the meeting that since the beginning of the year, the ACFIC has implemented the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, strengthened theoretical and policy education and promoted the implementation of the private sector promotion law. It has enabled the delivery of business-related policies, assisted private enterprises in overcoming difficulties and mitigating the impact of US tariffs, and aligned with national development strategies. These efforts have facilitated the healthy development of the non-public sector and those working in it.
The importance of fully understanding the major achievements of the private economy in the new era was emphasized at the meeting. It called for rallying private entrepreneurs more closely around the CPC, remaining focused on core businesses, strengthening the real economy and staying committed to being both contributors to socialism with Chinese characteristics and promoters of Chinese modernization.
Participants also highlighted the need to fully understand the CPC's fundamental policies on the private economy, unswervingly support the public and non-public sectors and promote the healthy development of private enterprises and individuals engaged in the non-public economy. Private-sector entrepreneurs were encouraged to strengthen their confidence and commitment to following the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the Party.
