On July 18, Wang Guangqian, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended a reception in Beijing marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mauritania. 

He emphasized that China is willing to work with Mauritania to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, carry forward the traditional friendship and deepen mutual trust and cooperation, in order to better benefit the people of both countries and open up a new future for the development of the China-Mauritania strategic partnership.
