The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee held a science popularization lecture titled "The Revolution of New Energy Vehicles in China" at North China University of Technology in Beijing on June 27. CPPCC National Committee vice-chairpersons Shen Yueyue and Yang Zhen attended the event.

The lecture was delivered by Ouyang Minggao, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Ouyang analyzed the technological strategy and development path of China's new energy vehicles from the three aspects of power electrification, whole-vehicle intelligentization and energy low-carbonization, and engaged in an interactive discussion with the audience.

The event drew over 700 participants, including CPPCC National Committee members, representatives from the China Association for Science and Technology, science professionals, and faculty and student representatives.

The science popularization lecture serves as a key platform for science education and public engagement. Through this initiative, CPPCC members actively promote science for the benefit of the public, contributing to China's pursuit of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement and building a society that values and respects science.
