The 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held its 33rd biweekly consultation session in Beijing on June 27, focusing on improving the management and service systems for outbound investment.
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the session.
Fifteen members of the CPPCC National Committee spoke at the session, offering suggestions on improving the systems and mechanisms to promote and support outbound investment, enhancing international cooperation in industrial and supply chains, improving comprehensive service systems for overseas investment, supporting private enterprises in "going global," and advancing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
CPPCC National Committee vice-chairpersons Hu Chunhua, Wang Yong, Shao Hong, Mu Hong, Wang Dongfeng, Jiang Zuojun, Wang Guangqian, and Yang Zhen attended the session. Senior officials from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and the People's Bank of China provided briefings and engaged in discussion with the CPPCC members.
