The national finals of the 8th China Vocational Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held in Huangshi, Central China's Hubei province, from May 29 to 30. Qin Boyong, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice-president of the China Vocational Education Association (CVEA), addressed the closing ceremony.

Qin emphasized that vocational education plays a vital role in cultivating highly skilled technical talents and shoulders the responsibility of contributing innovation and entrepreneurial strength to China's economic and social development.

Since its inception, the competition has inspired the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial drive among young students, providing a broad platform for vocational education teachers and students to showcase their achievements, she said.

The CVEA will continue to use the competition as a catalyst to explore new models for aligning vocational education with national strategies and to help promote innovation through vocational training, she added.

Qin said she hoped that vocational institutions will remain committed to integrating moral education with technical training, nurturing skilled professionals who not only excel in their craft but also uphold strong moral characters.

She encouraged vocational educators to align their teaching with the development of new quality productive forces, keep pace with industry trends, and enhance the effectiveness of education. She also called on students to align their personal aspirations with the cause of national rejuvenation to serve the country and the people.
