The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee held a science popularization lecture in Beijing on May 30. Vice-chairmen of the CPPCC National Committee Wang Dongfeng, Jiang Zuojun and Zhu Yongxin attended the event. 

Zhou Zhihua, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and vice-president of Nanjing University, gave the lecture on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and talent cultivation. Starting from the development of AI, he introduced the wide application of large models, analyzed key factors in talent cultivation in the field, and interacted with an audience of over 700 people, including members of the CPPCC National Committee, and representatives from the China Association for Science and Technology, sci-tech professionals, and teachers and students.  

The lecture is a concrete action taken by the CPPCC National Committee in implementing the central leadership's instructions on promoting science popularization. Through this platform, CPPCC members can fulfill their responsibilities on popularizing science for the people, and contribute to achieving high-level sci-tech self-reliance and self-improvement and fostering a social atmosphere that reveres science.
