The Committee on Culture, Historical Data and Studies of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee held a meeting in Beijing on May 9 to brief members on findings of surveys on the integration of culture with science and technology.
Officials from the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism attended the meeting.
Two proposals, one on promoting the deep integration of culture and sci-tech and accelerating the development of new cultural business forms, and the other on deepening the empowerment of artificial intelligence for the leapfrog development of the digital cultural industry, are among the key proposals prioritized by the CPPCC National Committee this year. Representatives of the departments that handle the proposals, including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave updates on their work progress and took questions from attending CPPCC members.
