The 2025 International Medical Innovation and Cooperation Forum took place in Fangchenggang, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on April 29. Shen, who is also president of the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, stated that the forum aims to deepen medical innovation and cooperation with member states of the SCO and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, as well as countries participating in Belt and Road cooperation. China is ready to leverage this forum as an opportunity to improve mechanisms for international medical innovation and cooperation, build a high-level international medical opening-up pilot zone, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation in traditional medicine, in a bid to build a global community of health for all, she said.
Themed on "Medical Innovation and Sharing for Sustainable Development of Health," the event drew attendance of more than 400 guests, including leaders and officials from SCO countries. The 2025 International Medical Innovation and Cooperation Forum Initiative was also launched at the event.
