The third friendship exchange between the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee and between Chinese and Vietnamese border provincial regions began in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on April 22.

Delegations from both sides engaged in discussions on consolidating consensus and promoting friendship and shared experiences in fulfilling their duties. They planted friendship trees and conducted field visits to survey Guangxi's economic and social development.

Xian Hui, vice-chairwoman of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered a speech at the event's opening ceremony.

In her speech, Xian said that the China-Vietnam relations have achieved continuous development under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the Communist Party of China and the Communist Party of Vietnam and the two countries. She highlighted the recent successful state visit to Vietnam by the Chinese president, which chartered a new course for China-Vietnam relations.

The exchange event is a major measure to implement the consensus reached between the leaders of the two parties and countries, she said.

The CPPCC National Committee is willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the VFF Central Committee, align with the six major goals of greater political mutual trust, more substantive security cooperation, deeper practical cooperation, more solid popular foundation, closer multilateral coordination and collaboration, and more proper management of differences, and jointly contribute to the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, she added.
