Xian Hui, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, vice-president and secretary-general of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on April 21.

Xian gave a rundown on the latest sessions of China's National People's Congress and CPPCC National Committee, and provided an update on China's economic development. The pair discussed increasing exchanges and cooperation and joint efforts to advance the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that bears strategic significance.
