A team from the Committee on Culture, Historical Data and Studies of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee visited Chongqing from April 7 to 11 to assess work aimed at protecting minors online.

During the trip, the team visited primary and secondary schools, service stations for online protection, institutions for children's cultural exchange, and internet technology companies. Through symposiums and interviews, they held face-to-face discussions with local government officials, teachers, parents and corporate representatives, gaining a detailed understanding of Chongqing's approaches, innovations and achievements in building a comprehensive system to safeguard minors in cyberspace.

The team noted that the healthy development of minors is vital to the happiness and well-being of millions of families, as well as to the future of China. They acknowledged Chongqing's efforts in enhancing its online protection system for minors, which offer valuable experiences for other regions.

The team emphasized the need to remain goal-oriented to build a "firewall" and a "safety net" in cyberspace for minors. They urged further reform, with problem-solving thinking and innovative measures, to tackle challenges in online protection for minors, and also called for the building of a cooperative framework for this purpose.

During the trip, the team also visited a local revolutionary memorial site for an education session on the history of the Communist Party of China.
