Wang Huning meets Finnish parliament speaker

BEIJING -- Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Jussi Halla-aho here on Monday.

Wang said China-Finland relations have enjoyed steady and sound development over 75 years of diplomatic ties.

China is ready to work with Finland to follow the guidance of the two heads of state, consolidate political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation and deepen people-to-people exchanges to enrich the future-oriented new-type cooperative partnership between the two countries, Wang said, adding that the CPPCC National Committee will contribute to the development of bilateral ties.

Halla-aho said that China is one of the most dynamic major economies in the world, and that Finland is willing to enhance cooperation with China to boost bilateral relations and Europe-China relations.
