The Standing Committee of the 12th Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA) convened its 10th plenary meeting in Beijing on March 8.

The meeting focused on studying and implementing the guiding principles of the latest sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, aligning with the key tasks of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the State, strengthening self-improvement, and enhancing capacity to fulfill the association's duties.

Hao Mingjin, vice-chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and chairman of the CNDCA Central Committee, addressed the meeting. Qin Boyong, vice-chairwoman of the CPPCC National Committee and executive vice-chairwoman of the CNDCA Central Committee, presided over the meeting.

Hao said that during the two sessions, the central leadership delivered important speeches that are of guiding significance in achieving the country’s social and economic development goals this year. He urged efforts to integrate the study of the guiding principles of the two sessions with the implementation of the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and the following plenary sessions of the CPC Central Committee, and with the CNDCA's work agenda for the year, to ensure a deep understanding of their core essence and effective implementation.

Hao called for a clear understanding of China's current situation and tasks to achieve the CNDCA's work objectives for the year. He highlighted the need to strengthen theoretical guidance, enhance political stance and unity, align efforts with national priorities, improve internal development, boost performance capacity, and uphold the CNDCA's traditions.

Qin outlined three key requirements for implementing the guiding principles of the standing committee meeting, namely strengthening ideological and political guidance to support comprehensive reforms; studying and implementing the guiding principles of the two sessions to contribute to Chinese modernization; and advancing self-improvement to enhance the CNDCA's role as a political party participating in the administration of State affairs.
