The Committee on Education, Science, Health and Sports of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) organized a sports lecture at Shijia Primary School in Dongcheng district, Beijing, on Dec 19. Zhu Yongxin, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the event.

This event invited CPPCC members and sports champions to share their personal stories in sports activities, and introduce scientific methods of playing sports to students. It offered them an immersive and multi-dimensional experience on the spirit of Chinese sportsmanship to promote children's growth through sports. 

Chen Baosheng, head of the Committee on Education, Science, Health and Sports, along with over 400 participants, including CPPCC National Committee members, sports experts, and student and teacher representatives, attended the event.

The sports lecture is an important part of the "serving the people" initiative of the CPPCC National Committee. It leverages the unique educational value of sports to explore an effective model that combines theoretical, practical, and science popularization education, aiming to contribute to the development of ideological and political education and the promotion of Chinese sportsmanship.
