TDSL Central Committee reviews year’s work at plenary session

The third plenary session of the 11th Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL) was held in Beijing from Dec 3 to 4. 

The meeting reviewed the 2024 work reports of the Standing Committee and the Internal Supervision Committee of the TDSL Central Committee. 

Su Hui, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairwoman of the TDSL Central Committee, delivered the work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the 11th TDSL Central Committee.

Su said that, in 2024, the TDSL adhered to its overall work plan and achieved solid progress, focusing on the theme of the "Year of Cross-Strait Exchange Promotion". Efforts have been made to improve the self-development system and optimize measures to fulfill its duties of participating in the deliberation and administration of State affairs, she added.

Regarding work for the next year, Su said the TDSL should maximize its unique advantages in fostering family and hometown connections to deepen cross-Strait integrated development, to facilitate the country's efforts to further deepen reform comprehensively and advance Chinese modernization. 

The TDSL will participate in the deliberation and administration of State affairs, democratic supervision, and political consultation with high standards under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and better integrate self-development with  performance of duties, she said, pledging to contribute to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the complete reunification of the motherland through Chinese modernization.
