The 2024 China Development Forum was held in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province, on Nov 29. Jiang Zuojun, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party, delivered a keynote address at the opening ceremony.
Jiang said this year's forum, which focused on improving industrial transfer mechanisms to support the construction of a unified national market, was an important initiative of the China Zhi Gong Party to provide suggestions for promoting high-quality economic and social development.
Noting that Yunnan is a key province for undertaking industrial transfers in China, he stressed that the province has seized opportunities and made innovative strides in this regard. The province's experiences provided a valuable case for discussions at the forum, he said.
Jiang encouraged participants to conduct in-depth discussions, share strategies, and explore ways to address challenges and constraints in industrial transfer, in a bid to advance China's economic and social development and Chinese modernization.
On the sidelines of the forum, attendees also conducted on-site surveys at several local enterprises.
