The 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held its 25th biweekly consultation session on Nov 11.

The session was presided over by Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.

Nine members of the CPPCC National Committee and an expert delivered speeches and offered suggestions on the development of the energy production, supply, storage and marketing systems, improving the energy sci-tech innovation system, promoting the optimization of the energy structure, facilitating the coordinated development of resource development and ecological protection, and advancing the efficient and intensive use of resources.

Vice-chairpersons of the CPPCC National Committee Hu Chunhua, Shen Yueyue, Wang Yong, Gao Yunlong, Mu Hong, Wang Dongfeng, Wang Guangqian, and Yang Zhen attended the meeting. Officials from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Natural Resources gave briefings on related work and held discussions with attending CPPCC members.
