Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Hoang Cong Thuy, vice-president of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, in Shanghai on Nov 5.

Wang, who is also chairman of the China Economic and Social Council, gave a rundown on the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, as well as an introduction to the work of the CPPCC.  

The two sides discussed deepening exchanges and cooperation in the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
