President of Seychelles Wavel Ramkalawan met with a delegation headed by Mu Hong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and head of the China-Africa Friendship Group of the CPPCC National Committee, in Victoria, the capital city of Seychelles, on Oct 25.
Mu said China and Seychelles enjoy a profound lasting friendship, boasting substantive cooperation in various fields. China is ready to work with Seychelles to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, promote further development of the bilateral strategic partnership, and join hands on the path to modernization to achieve new results, he said.
Ramkalawan said that the Beijing Summit injected new momentum for Africa-China and Seychelles-China friendly cooperation, and that Seychelles is ready to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields,including education, digital development and infrastructure.
During his visit to Seychelles, Mu also met separately with the speaker of the country's National Assembly and the chairman of the Association for the Promotion of Friendship between Seychelles and China. He also surveyed a number of agricultural and fishery projects.
