TDSL Central Committee holds standing committee meeting in Beijing

The Standing Committee of the 11th Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-government League (TDSL) held its ninth meeting in Beijing on July 27. 

Su Hui, vice-chairwoman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee and chairwoman of the TDSL Central Committee, addressed the meeting. 

Su emphasized the importance of the gathering, which focused on studying and implementing the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), promoting a discipline education campaign, and planning key tasks for the second half of the year. 

Highlighting the need for the TDSL to align its overall work strategy with the major task of promoting cross-Strait exchanges, Su called for innovation in and dedication to comprehensively deepening reform, advancing Chinese modernization, and promoting national reunification. 

The meeting also reviewed the key work undertaken by the TDSL Central Committee in the first half of 2024 and outlined work priorities for the second half of the year. Briefings were given on a CPC education campaign  by the leading group of the TDSL Central Committee and discussions were held on promoting cross-Strait exchanges and a program of discipline education for all localities. 

The meeting also included lectures on the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and on promoting discipline education within the non-CPC political parties.
