On July 30, Zhou Qiang, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, met with a delegation from the Institute of Arab Research and Studies led by its director, Mohamed Kamal, in Beijing.

Zhou briefed the delegation on the guiding principles of the third plenum of the 20th CPC Central Committee as well as China's CPPCC system.

The two sides exchanged views on such topics as enhancing exchanges and cooperation and furthering the all-round development of China-Arab relations.
