The Committee on Proposals of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee conducted a survey in East China's Shandong province from May 26 to 30, aiming at promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture.

The CPPCC key proposal supervision and survey team, headed by Shi Taifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC)Central Committee and vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, gained a deeper understanding of Shandong's practical experience and actively explored the revitalization and utilization of cultural heritage and the integration of culture and tourism, following visits to museums, research institutions, ancient city blocks, cultural bases, and universities in the cities of Zaozhuang, Linyi, Jining, Qufu and Jinan, where they also engaged in extensive exchanges with local managers, scholars, teachers and students. Communicating with local people helped the team better understand the goals, current issues and practical paths in promoting the transformation and development of fine traditional Chinese culture.

At a symposium held in the province's capital Jinan, the team fully affirmed Shandong's efforts in promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture. The meeting highlighted the importance of deeply understanding the significance of the work, calling for the enhancement of research on the expressions of fine traditional Chinese culture in public life, and closer integration of the culture into modern life. The team also stressed the need to fully tap the CPPCC's role to contribute wisdom and strength to the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture.
