Xian Hui, vice-chairwoman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, met in Beijing with a delegation led by Ricardo Sancho, president of the National Liberation Party of Costa Rica, on May 28.

The two sides exchanged views on the relations between the Communist Party of China and the National Liberation Party of Costa Rica and between the two countries, as well as on pragmatic bilateral cooperation in various fields. Xian introduced China's whole-process people's democracy and the Chinese people's political consultative system to the Costa Rican side.
