Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led a team consisting of members of the CPPCC National Committee without party affiliation to survey South China's Hainan province on the progress of advancing the high-level opening-up of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) from April 15 to 19. 

The team traveled to the cities of Sanya and Dongfang, and Lingshui Li autonomous county, where they visited industrial parks, enterprises and engaged with local residents to learn about local efforts in leveraging the FTP's development to deepen reforms, expand opening-up, and continuously achieve new progresses in high-tech industries, foreign trade, tourism, modern agriculture and ecological conservation. 

During a symposium, the team members, focusing on advancing the high-level opening-up of the Hainan FTP, exchanged views with local officials and staff responsible for key industrial parks and distinctive enterprises, offering their suggestions. 

The members said that the construction of the Hainan FTP has been effectively advanced, with various policies gradually taking root and yielding results, fully demonstrating the advantages of the Party's leadership and the country's political system. 

They pledged to carefully summarize relevant experiences, build up broad consensus, and contribute CPPCC members' wisdom and strength to promoting the high-level opening-up of the port.
