Wang Yong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led an inspection team of non-Communist Party of China members from the Committee on Economic Affairs of the CPPCC National Committee to Southwest China's Yunnan province from April 8 to 12. 

The inspection tour focused on promoting the orderly transfer of key industries across the country. 

The team traveled to Yuxi and Pu'er cities, Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture, and other areas where they visited industrial parks and enterprises, and engaged in discussions with company executives, local officials and residents, to learn about the regions' achievements in promoting the orderly transfer of key industries as a major measure to implement the national strategy of coordinated regional development and major regional strategies, and to achieve historical breakthroughs in optimizing the spatial layout of productivity, industrial layout and functional layout. 

During the inspection, the team members expressed their support for the provincial-level regions in central and western China, including Yunnan, in leveraging their advantages in resource endowment, industrial foundations and production factors to deepen cooperation with regions in eastern China, and undertake industrial transfer in an orderly manner. 

They also called for efforts to vigorously promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, nurture and develop new quality productive forces and vigorously build a number of competitive industrial clusters, thereby facilitating the construction of a modern industrial system with rational regional layout and coordinated development. 

The inspection team pledged to summarize the good practices and experience of Yunnan to contribute CPPCC members' wisdom and strength to promoting the high-quality development of industrial transfer, as well as in facilitating the eastern and western regions to jointly advance Chinese modernization.
