CPPCC science lecture held at Beijing middle school

A science lecture, initiated by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), was held at Beijing No 35 High School on April 2, with vice-chairpersons of the CPPCC National Committee Bater, Chen Wu and Zhu Yongxin attending. 

Wu Xiangping, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave the lecture titled "Understanding the Universe", introducing where the universe came from, how it evolves and where it will go, as well as the unknown mysteries of the universe and the challenges faced by modern astrophysics. 

Wu also interacted with the students present at the lecture, and helped them have a better understanding of the universe from the perspective of natural science. 

The science lecture program, conducted by CPPCC National Committee members, aims to fully leverage their professional advantages to contribute to promoting socioeconomic development and progress and fostering an atmosphere of loving and advocating for science in society.
