The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held a briefing session on issues of major concern in Beijing on March 28, focusing on clearing up arrears in corporate accounts.
The meeting was chaired by Wang Guosheng, chairman of the Committee on Economic Affairs of the CPPCC National Committee, and attended by vice-chairpersons of the CPPCC National Committee Wang Yong and Gao Yunlong.
Clearing up arrears in corporate accounts has been a significant decision and plan made by the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council.
The Government Work Report, which was delivered at this year's session of the National People's Congress in March, emphasized the need to establish a long-term mechanism for preventing and resolving overdue payments to enterprises.
During the meeting, Xu Xiaolan, vice-minister of industry and information technology, and relevant officials from the Ministry of Finance provided specific details on the current situation of clearing up arrears in corporate accounts. They engaged in exchanges and discussions with relevant CPPCC members regarding the issues of concern.
