The Standing Committee of the 11th Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL) held its sixth plenary session in Beijing on March 12.

The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the second annual sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, and reported on the situation of the special democratic consultation on the thematic education campaign for the leading group of the TDSL Central Committee in 2023. It also reviewed and approved the work essentials of the TDSL Central Committee for 2024.

Su Hui, vice-chairwoman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairwoman of the TDSL Central Committee, proposed requirements for the entire league in studying and implementing the spirit of the 2024 two sessions.

She called on TDSL members to maintain a high degree of consistency with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in terms of ideology, politics, and action.

She urged them to fully leverage their roles as NPC deputies and CPPCC members, integrating solid study of the spirit of the two sessions with practical and innovative measures to fulfill their duties, and combining the study with the implementation and promotion of the TDSL's development plans, to ensure that all of the TDSL's work effectively focuses on and serves the overall situation, and well integrates into the country's overall development.
